BY FEAST MAGAZINE – Staying healthy in 2018 just got a little easier.

Local entrepreneur Sally Matiszik is opening the first Missouri location of Vitality Bowls, a California-based chain based on superfoods – think açai, goji berries, spirulina, flax seeds, bee pollen and more.

The cafe, which will be located 8029 Dale Avenue at The Crossings at Richmond Heights, will feature a unique menu full of “high nutritional values and extraordinary tastes” for breakfast, snacks and dinner. For example, the superfood bowls and smoothies don’t contain fillers like ice, frozen yogurt, added sugar or artificial preservatives.

“I first experienced the delicious flavor of the açaí berry during a family trip to Brazil in 2012. After learning about the fresh ingredients and superfoods that Vitality Bowls offers, I knew it was a concept that St. Louis needed,” Matiszik said in a statement. “I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to bring this type of healthy fast-casual concept and açaí bowl trend to St. Louis.”

Menu items include the Dragon Bowl, with pitaya, pineapple, raspberries and bee pollen; the Energy Bowl, with organic açai, guarana, goji berries and organic granola; an egg panini with organic, cage-free eggs; fresh-pressed juices; salads and more.

Vitality Bowls currently boasts 45 locations nationwide, with 40 additional franchises in the works. Look for Vitality Bowls to open in the spring of 2018.
