Vitality Bowls, a health-food café concept specializing in antioxidant-rich açaí bowls, has inked an agreement with local entrepreneurs, Harjas Rajasonsi and Kunarveer Singh, to open a new superfood café location in Woodland at 2061 Bronze Star Dr., Suite 200, in the Woodland Gateway center.
Complementing its signature açaí bowls, Vitality Bowls is also known for other nutritious and allergy-friendly offerings, such as smoothies, salads, wraps, toasts, grain bowls, and more, made from high-quality, clean ingredients.
Anticipated to debut in Woodland this summer, the new fast-casual restaurant is set to become a nutritional haven for residents, professionals, and visitors alike. With a shared belief that eating nutritious food is 100% vital to a happy, healthy lifestyle, Rajasonsi and Singh are committed to redefining clean eating in Woodland by making it simple for local residents through a blend of convenience and genuine hospitality.
“Vitality Bowls’ commitment to nutritious, freshly-prepared meals made with the highest quality of superfoods and using no unnecessary fillers or preservatives, aims to help Yolo County residents to feel 100% energized, satisfied and happy,” said Singh, who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and brings experience from roles at Google, Meta, Apple, Adobe and Intuit. “From fan-favorite açaí bowls, to nourishing grain bowls and refreshing smoothies, the Vitality Bowls menu offers something for everyone, providing a perfect destination for community members to indulge in delicious food that makes them feel good too. I’m thrilled to share this enriching experience with more guests across Woodland.”
According to a local press release, for over a decade, Vitality Bowls has pioneered healthy food with its dynamic cafés and unique offerings. The company currently has more than 70 locations open, including two in Roseville and Vacaville. The menu showcases an extraordinary array of superfoods, delivering not just meals but a commitment to exceptional nutritional value.
Between 2019 and 2020, Vitality Bowls earned the “Best Franchise to Buy”—New Ethnic Eats Category Zor Award, was named in Entrepreneur’s Top Food Franchise and Top New Franchises list, Franchise Times’s Top 200+ list, Entrepreneur’s Top Growth Franchise list, Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies, Restaurant Business’s Future 50 and Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers and Shakers.
In 2022, Vitality Bowls was named a Top Food Franchise in Entrepreneur Magazine, claiming one of the top five spots in the “Açaí Bowl” category. Additionally, in 2023 Vitality Bowls was named a top emerging brand in Franchise Journal.
From signature bowls like the Superfood Bowl — made with acai, pitaya, almond milk, organic granola, cacao nibs and goji berries — to hearty favorites like the Chimichurri Steak Wrap — an enticing blend of super greens, grass-fed sous-vide steak, grains, radishes and more wrapped in a tomato basil tortilla — each item aligns with the brand’s mission to help guests feel 100% energized and 100% revitalized.
“Harjas and Kunarveer are the ideal entrepreneurs to introduce the brand to Woodland,” said Tara Gilad, co-founder of Vitality Bowls. “In addition to their strong business experience, passion for business ownership, and local ties, they reflect our company values and share our mission of providing delectable, health-conscious food to the community.”
