“This shop on California Ave is great for a cold, refreshing treat. I’ve been coming since last summer and I really like their items. The inside is bright, clean and open. I usually order to-go though but I’m sure it’s just as good consumed in the store. I’ve had their vitality and dragon bowl. I like that it’s pretty filling and just makes me feel healthy. Personally, I prefer the dragon bowl because I like dragon fruit. I haven’t had any of their smoothies yet, but that’s on my list to try when I want a drink instead of a bowl!”

“The Acai bowl is another popular yet healthy trend you see popping up in many cities. Vitality Bowls, located on California Avenue, is one of the latest and a nice addition to this Palo Alto scene.
“Vitality Bowls takes over the former spot of Cho’s Dim Sum and the transformation is stunning. It’s much larger than I ever recalled and the space is clean, modern, and new.
“An easy to read menu up front with Acai Bowl descriptions and Smoothie choices dominate while there are a few sandwich and drink selections as well.
“As some have commented, the large size of the Acai bowl is priced minimally higher than the medium so that’s what we choose. They nicely provided extra spoons and serving bowls as well. Service was efficient and friendly and I do think the place is hidden as its nearby Baume on the quieter end of California Avenue. Our order:
“The Dragon Smoothie – $6.49. I asked for a few recommendations but in the end with the popular dragon fruit smoothie. It’s a good size and delicious. A bit more solid than Jamba Juice and much less sweet.
“The Warrior Acai Bowl – $11.99. The large is served in a metal container and is topped with strawberries, banana and granola. The Acai mix included raspberries and broccoli and is super delicious. It’s a dense mixture and cold like the smoothie but I loved all the granola and fruit. Very good.
“Overall, I had a great stop at Vitality Bowl. I was looking for an energy boost and found it. It was delicious as well.
“Vitality Bowls accepts credit cards including Amex.”
