Vitality Bowls Irvine
Our Irvine Location
Vitality Bowls Irvine opened Summer 2016 in Orange County, CA. Located at University of California’s Campus Plaza at suite 4515A, Vitality Bowls Irvine is one of the most popular healthy student destinations.
Home to a number of colleges and technology companies, Irvine is a beautiful town just 10 miles from Newport Beach. Boasting one of the best climates in the country, it’s known as a great place for families and visitors alike.
Residents love Vitality Bowls Irvine for its namesake acai bowls as well as smoothies, fresh juice, salads, Panini and soups. The café also offers organic kombucha on-tap. A frequent hangout for students, one of Vitality Bowls Irvine’s most popular items is the UC Irvine Bowl made from a blend of Organic Acai, VB Superfood Blend, Bananas, and Strawberries; topped with Granola, Strawberries, Banana and Honey. The location also offers catering.
John Kammerman, an Orange County resident with international business management experience, was excited to bring Vitality Bowls to Irvine.
“Southern California is a health conscious area where people enjoy the outdoors and a healthy lifestyle, so Vitality Bowls helps complement their lifestyles. I like the fact that I have the ability to interact and build relationships with customers – especially those that are repeat customers. I like that most customers who come in are coming in because they want to and are happy and excited. What really makes me happy is when I see the expression of happiness on the faces of the customers when their bowl is delivered to them. I feel like we are artists in the making of the bowls.” -John Kammerman
“I’m a student at UCI and I literally come here 2-3x a week. The bowls are healthy, surprisingly filling for the size (I usually get regular and it’s perfect!) and yeah the prices might be a tad pricey but compared to other acai bowl places they’re very fair.
“The paninis are great, you can get the bowl+panini deal so any panini is 4.99, I recommend the salami one. Their kombucha is REALLY REALLY good (and this is coming from a kombucha snob), I absolutely love the mango one!
“What really sells this place however is the service. Everyone is SO friendly. I ordered a regular kombucha once but as it was filling up the tap ran out, and they offered to refill it in another flavor in the large size..for free! Awesome!
“This might be obvious but the bowls do make you feel cold since they have blended/frozen fruit and stuff in them.. so might not be the best in super cold weather/if you want something hot.” -Jenn T. Fremont, CA
“I consider myself somewhat of a “bowl” snob as my mom owns an acai shop out of state. I love trying new spots and most the time they come up a little short for me, but only because I’m biased 😉
“Vitality Bowls on the other hand… WOW!! The quality of their bowls is incredible! I love the aesthetic of their store with fun music and contemporary decor. Their menu is fresh and inviting (not overwhelming like most smoothie shops), the service was fast and friendly, and the flavors were out of this world! I really loved that they served the bowls in stainless steels dishes which made them seem extra cold and awfully beautiful.
Pro tip: the Grapefruit/Sage kombucha is LIFE!!” -Anjuli R. Anaheim, CA
